It’s great to have an older brother you can be crazy with. Also someone to run to when things go tough and when you need some sense knocked into you. (in my case, I have two!)

To the eldest one, the Kuya of all —- Happiest birthday, Kuya PeeWee! You play a huge influence and drive in my life. I love you always! (armpits and all!)

Love, Anda <3

A photo from two years ago, back when I was still very active in longboarding. That’s the time when I got all these longboard scars on my right knee. Sigh.
Anyhooo, a happy birthday to my almost brother, Tim Aguirre! The legit ampon and youngest of the Gonzales family! Haha. Yay! :)

Cupcake Saturday

3/4 of Up Dharma Down celebrated their birthdays this month so in connivance with Carlos (UDD’s guitarist) and some good Terno friends (Hi Bel! Hi Kris! Hi Jason! Hi Chigo! Hi Jon!) we planned a birthday surprise for Armi, Ean, and Paul last Saturday at Terno Inferno in SaGuijo.

It was just really simple: We surprised the three with a box of cupcakes in the middle of their 3:30am set and sang along with the whole of saGuijo a warm and hearty happy birthday!

Here are some photos from the surprise, thanks Jason! :)

Carlos announcing the surprise. Look at Paul! Haha!

I burnt the side of my right thumb because I couldn’t light the candles. I was pressured too because everyone in the crowd was already singing and I was thinking “Light up you candles, dammit!”

Carlos and I planned to surprise them after their third song but I think he forgot his queue so I had to wait outside after their sixth one. Haha! But it’s okay, the celebrants’ faces were priceless!

So glad the plan worked out well! And the cupcakes? Nah, they were done in a few minutes during the rest and after UDD’s set! Thanks Mom and Tina’s, they were delicious!

Armi and Los going loco over the last double fudge flavored cupcake!

Giving Ean his well-deserved piece before he runs out!

Well, for Terno Inferno in general that night? It was a very fun one, as usual! The place was packed and that fuzzy lovely feeling was around me again.

And of course, a warm thank you to these people for making the night a thousand times more special!

Until next month! :)

Been best friends with this man for 11 years. 11 years… Can’t even fathom how long that is! Anyway, it’s his birthday and I know he’d kinda cringe but I made a birthday blog post for him here.
Happy birthday, King! :)

Post-screening emotions

Reposted from Up Dharma Down’s Tumblr site

Thank you to everyone for coming to last night’s “A Week in Metro Manila: Up Dharma Down” Manila screening! We didn’t expect Capone’s to be that packed as early as 10pm! I would also like to apologize for the sound difficulties. As it turned out, Capone’s sound system was slowly failing. But again and again, THANK YOU for the support!

Thank you to The Charmes, Up Dharma Down, and the events staff, of course! Last night would not have been possible without you guys!

On a personal note, thank you too for being patient with my newbie hosting skills (har har) and for that epic birthday salubong! To everyone who sang in chorus while Armi and I were onstage (plus those hugs!!!), thank you! And to both bands, The Charmes and Up Dharma Down, thank you for the in between sets greeting! *kilig*

There are just too many things to be grateful about and this post just can’t make most of its justice. But I know that we ALL had fun last night so yeah, let’s take it by experience and memory!

And you know what, Terno will always be home. :)
